THE $5,000 A WEEK FOR LIFE SCRATCH-OFF GAME
TALLAHASSEE -The Florida Lottery announces that Eladio Garcia Acevedo, 56, of Jacksonville, claimed a top prize in the $5,000 A WEEK FOR LIFE Scratch-Off game at Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $4,030,000.00.
Garcia Acevedo purchased his winning ticket from Rut's BP, located at 6923 Atlantic Boulevard in Jacksonville. The retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.
The $10 Scratch-Off game, $5,000 A WEEK FOR LIFE launched in September 2017 and offers the largest top prize available on a $10 Scratch-Off ticket and features more than $147 million in cash prizes. The game's overall odds of winning are one-in-3.35.
Scratch-Offs are an important part of the Lottery's portfolio of games, generating more than $871 million for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in FY 2017-18, and comprising approximately 69 percent of ticket sales.
