Florida Lottery -Social Media Promotion Guidelines

Promotions are open to all residents of Florida, who are 18 years of age and older, and who are not employees, representatives or agents of the Florida Lottery, PPK, Inc., and their subsidiaries and/or affiliates, and their respective advertising agencies, public relations agencies and their immediate family members and individuals with whom those employees, representatives or agents reside. The promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void outside of Florida, and where prohibited by law.

Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

Prizes for Florida Lottery Social Media Promotions differ based on the specific campaign. All prizes are subject to change and subject to availability at time of prize fulfillment.

Winners are selected at random from the pool of social media users who have engaged with the promotion using the pre-determined method of entry.

Once a winner has been selected, they are contacted, either by Direct Message or comment, and must follow the claim instructions provided within 10 business days. Winners must submit a copy of a Florida Driver's License, Florida Identification Card, U.S. Passport, or other acceptable form of identification, bearing an address within the state of Florida. Individuals who fail to provide a valid email address will not be eligible to win. The following are acceptable forms of identification (bearing a Florida address):

A Florida Identification card or driver's license issued by a public agency authorized to issue driver's license in Florida;
A passport issued by the Department of State of the United States;
An Identification card issued by any branch of the armed forces of the U.S.;
Identification card issued by the U.S. Bureau of Citizenship & Immigration Services; or
Another form of identification authorized for use by a notary public in subparagraph Section 117.05(5)(b)2, Florida Statutes.

If the winner does not provide the requested documentation within 10 days, the winner will forfeit his or her right to claim the prize and the Florida Lottery will not award the prize.

The Florida Lottery will not be responsible or liable for failure to receive entries due to transmission failures or technical failures of any kind, including without limitation, electronic malfunction of any network, hardware or software. Proof of submission does not constitute proof of entry. The Florida Lottery reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel or suspend a promotion should viruses, bugs or other causes beyond its control corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the promotion. In the event of cancellation of any promotion, the prizes will be awarded at random from eligible entries received prior to cancellation. Use of information collected in connection with promotions are governed by the Florida Lottery. Promotions are in no way affiliated with Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.

By entering a promotion, the entrant assumes all liability for any personal injury or damages caused, or claimed to be caused, in connection with his or her participation in the promotion and/or the acceptance and/or use of any prize, and hereby indemnifies, holds harmless and releases the Lottery and its employees and agents from any and all such liability. Neither the Florida Lottery nor its employees or agents is responsible for technical, hardware, software, or telephone malfunctions of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections or failed, incorrect, incomplete, inaccurate, garbled or delayed electronic communications caused by the user or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this promotion. Participation constitutes permission (except where prohibited by law) to use winner's name, city, state, likeness and/or voice for purposes of advertising, promotion and publicity without additional compensation.

By participating, entrants release The Florida Lottery, PPK, Inc., Facebook, Inc. and their affiliates, subsidiaries, participating partners, advertising or promotions agencies, employees, officers, agents, directors and the immediate family and household members of the above, and each of their respective affiliated companies, directors, officers, employees, representatives and agents, from any liability whatsoever for any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with a promotion or with the acceptance, possession, or use of any prize (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, losses and damages related to personal injury or death, damage to, loss or destruction of property or privacy, defamation, or portrayal in a false light).

All applicable federal, state and local laws and rules apply. A promotion and these Official Guidelines will be governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any court of competent jurisdiction sitting within the State of Florida, County of Leon, will be the exclusive jurisdiction and venue for any dispute arising out of or relating to a promotion or these Official Guidelines. The Florida Lottery's failure to enforce any term of these Official Guidelines shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

All federal, state and local taxes on the Prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. No substitutions or other alternative is available. Prizes are not redeemable for cash.

The Lottery's decision and judgements in respect to the determination of the winner(s) shall be final.
